    Get Involved Today

Public Knowledge has the pleasure of inviting you to a multifaceted program focused on training and developing the next generation of tech policy experts and public interest advocates that reflects the diversity of voices and experiences in our society.

Please join us for our monthly Career Breakfast Series. This event is designed specifically for students and recent graduates of color, offering insights into tech policy and public interest careers, and providing a platform for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. This time, you will have the opportunity to have a great conversation with Sean E. Mickens.

Sean is an Associate Vice President of External Affairs at Comcast, where he leads the government affairs and public policy team’s external engagement with civil rights, LGBTQIA+, and consumer interest organizations on digital equity, broadband deployment and access, technology, and telecommunications
    policies.
Previously, Sean was a Public Policy Manager at Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook) where he managed strategic outreach, partnerships, and engagement with progressive and civil rights think tanks. He has a breadth of experience working on tech policy issues, including antitrust, content moderation, free expression, data localization, data portability, economic impact, AR/VR/XR, and privacy.
Sean has also advised non-profits and philanthropies’ public policy research, strategic planning, and issue advocacy work. He has worked for and on behalf of many nonprofits, think tanks, and advocacy organizations, including the National Urban League, Third Way, and the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.

Join us at the Gathering Spot on May 2nd at 8.30 AM to hear more.
