Public Knowledge welcomes Patrick Gallaher, Senior Policy Advocate, to our team to focus on copyright issues, including digital ownership and issues related to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Prior to joining Public Knowledge, Mr. Gallaher worked in government relations for Prince George’s County Executive (now U.S. Senator) Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD). Patrick received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland.

The following may be attributed to Chris Lewis, President and CEO of Public Knowledge:

“Patrick Gallaher adds tremendous political experience and advocacy hustle to the Public Knowledge team at a time when we face threats on multiple fronts to an Open Internet and access to knowledge. He understands the needs of building political support to create good public policy, which is essential as archivists, AI innovators, and libraries are under attack for making more information available to the public. Patrick’s skills are a welcome addition to the strong legal and technical expertise that Public Knowledge is known for and we are excited to welcome him.”
