    Public Knowledge announces a new hire to grow our telecommunications, copyright and internet policy advocacy. Gus Rossi joins Public Knowledge as Director of Global Policy to spearhead the organization’s international advocacy efforts and Open Internet education for Latin America.

    Previously, Gus consulted on digital rights' issues for a Spanish Member of the European Parliament in the Greens/EFA Group, was the Co-Spokesperson for the political NGO Joves d'Esquerra Verda – Barcelona, and served as Policy Associate at the Board of the Inter-American Development Bank where he advised on multi-million dollar loan proposals to develop the public and private sectors of the Americas. He was also a non-resident fellow at the Global Public Policy Institute and a researcher at the Ranking Digital Rights Project housed at New America Foundation. Gus holds a doctorate in Political Science from European University Institute and a master’s degree in International Political Economy from Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam.
