Hello to everyone reading the Public Knowledge blog (and good for you for reading it). This summer I am one of the (many) interns here at PK, but the rest of the year I study philosophy at Columbia University in New York. There I also work for Free Culture @ Columbia, where among other things, we gave out 100 free flash drives loaded with Columbia's Core Curriculum, saving students some $10,000 to $30,000 in textbook costs.
Over the next few months I'll be researching and writing on such concerns as intellectual property in the fashion industry, the state of digital rights management, and the growth of E-reserves in university libraries. If you have any thoughts or suggestions on these issues, I really encourage you to email or post a comment. Thanks, and I'm looking forward to an exciting summer.
