Letter in Support of AI Safety Institute Authorization

Public Knowledge joined a coalition of over 60 universities, companies, and non-profits in a letter to Congressional leaders urging action to authorize a AI Safety Institute (AISI) at the National Institute of Safety and Technology (NIST) before the end of the 118th Congress. The Institute would focus on research, deployment, and pre-deployment testing and evaluation of the resilience of AI systems.
