Public Knowledge is proud to host a dynamic program dedicated to nurturing and empowering the next generation of tech policy experts and public interest advocates, with a special focus on students and recent graduates of color. Our initiative is committed to fostering a representation of diverse voices and experiences within our society.
This monthly Career Breakfast Series is designed specifically for students and recent graduates of color, offering insights into tech policy and public interest careers, and providing a platform for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds.
Join us on January 5 for a delightful breakfast where you’ll have the unique opportunity to engage in conversation with Chris Lewis, President and CEO at Public Knowledge. Chris brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as Vice President from 2012 to 2019, steering the organization’s day-to-day advocacy and political strategy on Capitol Hill and government agencies. Beyond his role at Public Knowledge, he also contributed as a two-term member of the Alexandria City Public School Board and currently holds positions on the Board of Directors for the Institute for Local Self-Reliance and the Broadband Internet Technical Advisory Group (BITAG).
We invite you not only to come armed with questions but also to share your thoughts on the diverse topics you’d like us to explore in 2024. Your input is invaluable as we strive to curate engaging conversations with the best-suited guests. Your participation plays a crucial role in shaping the direction of our programs, and we look forward to an enriching discussion.
See you Friday, Jan. 5 at 8 am at the Gathering Spot.
