    Public Knowledge has the pleasure of inviting you to a multifaceted program focused on training and developing the next generation of tech policy experts and public interest advocates that reflects the diversity of voices and experiences in our society. Please join us for our monthly Career Breakfast Series. This event is designed for students & recent graduates to learn about tech policy and public interest work, careers, and its community. This month you will have the opportunity of having a great conversation with Dane Snowden.

    Dane is a Senior Advisor at Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP, a communications law firm that focuses on the development and implementation of client business and regulatory strategies. With over 20 years of experience in the communications sector, Dane’s practice focuses on strategic advice to clients on a range of issues and topics that involve matters in front of the Administration, Capitol Hill, federal regulatory agencies, and state governments.
    Prior to joining WBK, Dane was the President and CEO of Internet Association. Responsible for the vision, strategic direction, and management of IA, the lead advocacy body representing over 40 of the top global internet companies on matters of public policy before Congress, the Administration, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and state legislatures. Under his leadership, IA advocated for public policy that fostered innovation, promoted economic growth, and empowered people through a free and open internet.
    Prior to joining NCTA, Dane was Vice President of External & State Affairs at CTIA-The
    Wireless Association® where he created and managed the Association’s comprehensive 50-state policy program and external affairs efforts. Before CTIA, Dane served as Chief of the Federal Communications Commission’s Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB). In this role, he was responsible for the development and execution of the vision, strategic direction, telecommunications policy, and management of the Bureau’s activities and 300 employees. Before his appointment to the Commission, Dane served in leadership roles at various organizations including MissionFish.com, America’s Promise-The Alliance for Youth, and the United Negro College Fund.
    Dane is a graduate of The College of William and Mary, where he received his B.A. degree in Political Science. Mr. Snowden is a resident of Washington, D.C., he is married and has a daughter.
