Maria Kirby joined The Walt Disney Company as Vice President of Government Relations after serving in a variety of public and private sector roles. She helps lead strategy and engagement throughout the federal government on all of Disney’s media and telecom policy interests, including enterprise spectrum needs for news delivery, park design and operations, and live performances.
Maria was most recently Senior Policy Counsel at Apple, where she represented the company on regulatory matters before the FCC, the FTC, and NTIA. During the Obama Administration, she served as legal advisor to FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler and as Senior Counsel for the New York City Office of Federal Affairs under Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
