According to reports, President Joe Biden will nominate Lina Khan for the Federal Trade Commission. Through her landmark academic work and her contributions to the work of Antitrust Subcommittee Chairman David Cicilline (D-RI), Khan has fought to hold technology companies accountable through stronger antitrust enforcement and by improving competition law. Public Knowledge commends Lina Khan for her work in championing the public interest and applauds her nomination to the FTC.

The following can be attributed to Charlotte Slaiman, Competition Policy Director at Public Knowledge:

“With the nomination of Lina Khan, the Biden administration will signal that antitrust enforcement and important competition policy changes will be a high priority. Khan has already had an incredible impact, pushing the competition policy discussion in the right direction with her work. We look forward to working with her to promote competition against Big Tech and across the economy.”
