Public Knowledge Congratulates Media Access Project on New President

The following statement is attributed to Gigi B. Sohn, president and co-founder of Public Knowledge:

“We would like to congratulate Media Access Project on this new and exciting chapter in the organization’s distinguished history. I and Harold Feld, the Public Knowledge legal director, spent many years at MAP. Andy Schwartzman was our mentor. We retain great respect and admiration for him and for his work leading the organization over the years.

“The addition of former FCC Commissioner Ty Brown as the new president will only strengthen MAP as it continues its fine traditions. We look forward to working with him as we have worked with Andy and his staff over the years.”
