Public Knowledge is proud to announce the election of new members to its Board of Directors. The Public Knowledge Board recently elected Marcus Reese, Vickie Robinson, and Gary Slaiman to join eight other board members to provide Public Knowledge with strategic counsel and leadership.

Marcus Reese, Principal at LC Public Affairs, is a skilled communications and government affairs executive providing counsel for companies in the technology and real estate industries. He previously served as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Westfield, an international commercial real estate organization. With more than 20 years of experience in communications, issue advocacy, and community affairs, Mr. Reese is adept at building political infrastructure and developing talent that aligns to organizational value creation and long-term corporate positioning. He has spent a career working as a public affairs professional, senior corporate communications strategist, and crisis management counselor with a history of driving results for Fortune 500 companies and global organizations.

Vickie Robinson, General Manager of Microsoft’s Global Airband Initiative, fosters relationships with internal and external partners to close the global digital divide. She also works to drive digital transformation enabled through applications and services offered by Microsoft’s Cloud. Prior to this role, Ms. Robinson spent nearly two decades serving the Federal Communications Commission in multiple leadership positions and eventually served as Acting CEO and General Counsel of the Universal Service Administrative Co., an independent nonprofit designated by the FCC as the Universal Service Fund’s administrator. She maintains a commitment to universal broadband access in all of her work.

Gary Slaiman, founder of Slaiman Consulting LLC, focuses his practice on legislative matters while representing clients subject to congressional oversight and investigations and on various other issues before congressional committees and commissions, including antitrust, telecommunications, and intellectual property with decades of experience on copyright. Mr. Slaiman’s practice is especially focused on the House and Senate Judiciary committees, the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and the Senate Commerce Committee. Prior to establishing Slaiman Consulting LLC, Mr. Slaiman was a partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he led the government affairs practice.
