Public Knowledge welcomes Charlotte Slaiman, Policy Counsel, to our team to focus on competition issues and digital platforms. She holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in Government from the University of Virginia.

Prior to joining Public Knowledge, Ms. Slaiman worked in the Anticompetitive Practices Division of the Federal Trade Commission, investigating and litigating antitrust conduct violations, including the 2017 case against 1-800 Contacts for manipulating Google search ad auctions. She previously worked as a Legislative Aide to Senator Al Franken, focusing on Judiciary Committee issues including competition, media, and consumer privacy.

The following may be attributed to Public Knowledge President & CEO Gene Kimmelman:

“At a time when we become increasingly dependent on vibrant competition and strong consumer protection to overcome the dangers of a few large firms dominating the digital economy and communications platforms critical to our democracy, we're pleased to have Charlotte bring her extensive FTC and Capitol Hill experience to bolster Public Knowledge's policy advocacy efforts.”
