Public Knowledge announces a new hire to grow our telecommunications, copyright and internet policy advocacy. Ryan Clough, a litigator and former congressional staffer, joins Public Knowledge as General Counsel to direct the organization’s legal team.
Previously, Ryan was an IP litigator at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP in Denver, and before that, served as counsel to Representative Zoe Lofgren of California, with a focus on intellectual property, internet, and competition policy. He has also practiced antitrust law, represented death row inmates in post-conviction proceedings, and taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado Law School. Ryan has a B.A. from Emory University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
The following may be attributed to Gene Kimmelman, President and CEO of Public Knowledge:
“We’re very excited to welcome Ryan to continue our advocacy in copyright, telecommunications and internet policy. The recent net neutrality and Comcast merger victories demonstrate the importance and power of public interest advocacy, and we’ve no doubt that Ryan will be critical to our future successes.”
