Zakiya is the Office Manager of Public Knowledge. She ensures efficient operation and organization of the office, manages the reception area, assists with records and financial management, and provides administrative support to the President & CEO.
Prior to joining the Public Knowledge team, Zakiya was the office manager at Center for Urban Renewal and Education, where she gained experience as well as further interest in policy.
Zakiya received her BA in Political Science at Howard University in Washington, DC. It is at the University where her interests in policy began.
She lives in Downtown, Washington D.C. with her two kids.
