Congress is currently on recess, which means that Members are back in their states and districts. It also means that Members will be holding local town hall meetings to find out what bills are important to constituents. Bringing up issues at a town hall is one of the most effective ways to convince your representatives in Congress that an issue is important to you.
However, town halls meetings are harder to find than you might think. They are often announced only a day or two in advance, so they are easy to miss if you do not check in with the district office regularly. Enter Real People Against PIPA + SOPA!
We will keep this Meetup page up-to-date with all of the scheduled town hall meetings. We will also continue to post new resources that you can print and take with you to the meetings.
Join the group and you will get an alert every time we add one.
That way you can attend the ones that are local and tell others when there are town halls near them. You can go and tell your member of Congress that you are against SOPA and PIPA in person.
