It seems at this point as if the next YouTube/CNN presidential candidate debate will be a bust. Scheduled for Sept. 17 in St. Petersburg, Fla., it was to feature the Republican candidates.
So far, however, only Sen. John McCain of Arizona and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas have committed to participate. As the Washington Post reports, the rest aren’t jumping at the chance to join.
Here at PK, we’re very disappointed. We thought the first debate was fun and raised issues in far more imaginative and thoughtful ways than do the normal debates. We were so impressed with the proceedings, we even made our own question. Here’s hoping some candidates get to answer it.
